New ThermalScan series of the SCATI EYE range

New ThermalScan series of the SCATI EYE range

360º vision of large areas without blind spots

SCATI, manufacturer of intelligent video solutions, completes its video surveillance proposal with the addition of a new line of ThermalScan cameras to protect large geographic areas or areas with irregular or undefined perimeters such as natural land and sea areas, critical infrastructures, etc.

ThermalScan cameras detect, recognize and track an unlimited number of targets (people, ships, vehicles, etc.) automatically, over long distances and in the most adverse weather conditions and in total darkness, providing high-resolution images.

A camera of these characteristics is capable of replacing hundreds of conventional cameras, simplifying and minimizing the installation and maintenance costs of the system.

Thanks to their high image capture speed (360º/2 sec.) and the use of advanced optical image stabilization technology, these cameras cover surfaces of several kilometers in distance without leaving blind spots, which facilitates the continuous monitoring of large distances and also minimizes false alarms due to the high data update frequency.

The range of SCATI ThermalScande cameras depends on the size of the lens or focal length, the resolution or its location. The shorter the focal length, the larger the field of view. The higher the resolution, the sharper the images will be. The fewer obstacles between the camera and the object of interest, the better the chances of capturing it in images.

For this reason, and depending on the distance of the area to be monitored, SCATI offers two ranges of cameras with different optics.

Mini Range

The Mini range of thermal radar cameras is ideal for monitoring areas up to 1.5 km away: perimeter around the airport, prison, etc.

Periscope Range

The Periscope Range is most suitable in wide area scenarios such as border and coastal surveillance where the objects of interest are at greater distances.

For the protection of the areas closest to the premises to be protected, the thermal radar cameras can have associated SCATI EYE PTZ Domes, with images already in the visible spectrum, which will automatically position themselves at those points where the intrusion is detected, with the aim of being able to identify the object or person that generated the alert.
These cameras meet the most demanding needs and have multiple applications:

  • Border protection: Maintaining territorial integrity, preventing illegal immigration, drug smuggling, etc.
  • Ports and Airports: External threat detection, fire detection, etc.
  • Coastal and maritime surveillance: infrastructure protection, detection of boardings of docked ships, drug smuggling or attacks.
  • Critical infrastructures and utilities: Full 24×7 protection
  • Nature reserves: Detection of intruders, poachers, illegal harvesting, fires.
SCATI VAS, new SCATI software module

SCATI VAS, new SCATI software module

This new module identifies and recognizes any code that appears in the scene to extract its information or to track the object or person to which it is associated

SCATI, a manufacturer of intelligent video, access control and system integration solutions, announces the launch of SCATI VAS (Video Anlytics Server), an application that enables multiple types of intelligent video processing to be performed centrally.

SCATI VAS

SCATI VAS is a self-developed application that allows the processing of information from any camera in the park, analog or IP, without the need for on-board video analytics.

Centralized processing (as opposed to on-the-edge processing) allows users to have much more powerful and accurate analytics engines for obvious reasons, since a server has more hardware resources to do the image processing than a camera.

For some models of SCATI VISION recorders, SCATI VAS will have the possibility to run on the recording equipment itself. In other scenarios where the number of cameras on which to apply analytics is high, it will be possible to have different dedicated servers for image processing distributed over the network, even in different physical environments, performing the configuration of all of them remotely and centrally from a single operator station.

While the first analytics incorporated in SCATI VAS is designed for detect and recognize barcodes, QR, Datamatrix, etc. on the images captured by the CCTV system cameras; our R&D Department is currently working on new analytics which will be gradually incorporated into SCATI VAS.

By means of this first analytics it will be possible to perform a visual verification of the passage of goods, assets or even people through the areas covered by the cameras of the system, so the application scenarios are very diverse as it would have a potential use from logistics or industrial environments, to retail or even for public safety. Lo único que se precisa es que el código adherido al bien o activo, o que porte en su ropa o EPI la persona, tenga un tamaño mínimo de píxeles en la imagen capturada por la cámara.

SCATI VAS complements the SCATI platform and integrates with the different modules of the SUITE VISION . SCATI VAS identifies and recognizes any code in real time, notifies SCATI WATCHER immediately by alarm and allows the visualization of images associated with the alarm through a pop-up. Moreover, the metadata generated are recognized by SCATI RECKON, SCATI’s Business Intelligence module, which centralizes the information to facilitate searches through customized filters or display it in a synthesized form through customized reports and graphs.

With this new milestone, SCATI reinforces its commitment to offer intelligent video solutions to its customers, enabling them to manage their facilities beyond security.

N400, the new SCATI VISION video recorder

N400, the new SCATI VISION video recorder

The N400 recorder is the ultimate in security for small installations.

The N400 recorder is a recorder based on IP technology that is part of SSCATI’s VISION SUITE. Specifically, these devices are small NVRs, ideal for small installations that do not require more than 4 cameras.

It has a highly compact format, an efficient heat dissipation design (fanless technology) and the absence of ventilation elements, which make it silent, robust and perfect for installation in an ATM.

These Linux-based devices are part of a fully scalable solution and are designed to work with any ONVIF camera, being able to manage up to 3 megapixel cameras with total stability.

The main differentiating feature of these recorders is that they have 4 RJ-45 Gigabit PoE ports, allowing the cameras to be powered directly from the recorder. In addition, these recorders incorporate functionalities that allow continuous monitoring of their health and operation, notifying technical alarms in case of failure, which allows to extend the life of the devices and solve problems quickly.

As the recording needs are different for each project and each customer, using cameras of higher or lower resolution, having to record for longer or longer, continuously or by events, all SCATI VISION recorders allow configurable storage with disks specially manufactured for use in video surveillance.

In addition, the use of H.265 compression algorithms means that the images stored in the recorders require less storage (up to 40% less compared to other manufacturers using H.264) and that the transmission of images over the network can be carried out in a much lighter and smoother way.
