Explosion-proof camera

Explosion-proof camera

The SEC-36X16LR-X6 is a high-performance intelligent surveillance camera and one of our proposals for those scenarios requiring cameras intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Designed in bullet format and 316L stainless steel to protect it from damage caused by corrosion, this camera has passed the international ATEX and IECEx certifications that guarantee its perfect operation under the worst environmental conditions of gas and dust.

This camera has 4Mpx and a 6mm fixed lens with a 52º horizontal angle of view, offering unmatched image quality in the most adverse lighting conditions.

Explosive-proof camera

For best performance in total darkness, this camera features infrared with an illuminating range of up to 30 meters to ensure a sharp, clear and evenly illuminated image even in total darkness.

With protection IP68/IK08 that make it resistant to water and vandal-proofThis camera is proposed as the most demanded option in the most hostile environments, such as the Ras Sedr oil field in Sinai, Egypt. which is currently protected with SCATI’s intelligent video surveillance systems.

Video surveillance systems, the driving force behind the Digital Transformation of the Retail Industry

Video surveillance systems, the driving force behind the Digital Transformation of the Retail Industry

Toni Polo, Sales Director Spain and EMEA Region. SCATIAntonio_polo_alonso

With the e-Commerce boom, consumers today are more demanding. From any device connected to the network, they are able to compare features, prices, know the ratings of other customers and make a decision even without physically seeing the product.

Despite the trend towards digitalization, retail is committed to adopting an omnichannel strategy, where stores are transformed into spaces where they can offer “unique experiences” to their customers.

Technology is redefining this shopping experience and allows brands to know their customers, their consumption patterns, even predict their purchase intentions.

Specifically, Artificial Intelligence, data collection and interpretation (Big Data) are the basis for offering increasingly personalized and unique user experiences.

On-demand services

Thanks to facial recognition, CCTV systems classify customers through demographic variables (gender, age, etc.) in real time, “anonymizing” any data, thus complying with the Data Protection regulatory framework.

Real time capacity control

Know the exact number of people in an establishment and track occupancy automatically.

Checkout lines and customer service

The video systems detect if a queue exceeds the desired number of people or the maximum waiting time and send an alarm so that the store reacts and minimizes waiting times by opening, for example, a cash register automatically.

Fraud prevention at self-service checkouts

Locating video surveillance images associated with any operation performed on your POS network in just seconds for an agile response to suspicious transactions is vital to eliminate the risk of fraud.

“Data Driven Marketing”.Prevencion-fraude-cajas-auto-servicio-retail

Data Driven Marketing collects information from customer interactions. This method provides insight into consumer motivations, preferences and behaviors to anticipate their needs, improve the customer experience and generate greater revenues and profits.

But how can we collect this information without conditioning our customers’ behavior?

Video technology is emerging as one of the most suitable technologies, as it collects the images and therefore associated data (metadata) without interfering in the purchase process.

Video surveillance as a challenge for modern mobility

Video surveillance for fleet management

Knowing what is happening in your fleet of vehicles, even thousands of kilometers away is already a fact thanks to video surveillance solutions for on-board environments.

CCTV_EmbarcadoFleet management is the ideal complement to real-time visibility of operators’ day-to-day events., offering the registration of the locations and routes traveled by each of the units with the active and almost immediate reception of the alarms configured in the transports, such as the panic button, opening of doors en route and remote shutdown of the unit.

The latest developments make it possible to offer a stable, robust and easy-to-use system, but at the same time with high security in data transmission through encryption and strict control mechanisms for access to the system.

These solutions are designed for long-term use, combining highly versatile features with services that ensure that the solution maintains high quality and adaptability, even as scenario requirements change.

BENEFITS

The on-board video systems allow real-time viewing and recording of images from any vehicle and allow automatic video downloading to a centralized storage via 3G/4G/Si-Fi with guaranteed data transmission security.

Know the GPS position (Global Positioning System) of vehicles in real time, the history of the routes taken and even real-time alerts via alarms in case the vehicle deviates from the route, leaves its area of influence or exceeds the speed limits is possible.

In addition to ensuring safety and knowing if any of the vehicles are circulating according to the established parameters or if any anomaly is occurring, the CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) systems for onboard environments are capable of alerting in real time in case any of the vehicles deviate from the predefined route or exceed the maximum allowed speed.

Beyond safety, these systems are equipped with real-time BI (Business Intelligence) tools that continuously collect data and information (kilometers traveled, data consumption, average speeds, etc.) so that operators can maximize their productivity, detect inefficiencies and find areas for improvement.

Video Surveillance Systems: The Future of the Automotive Industry

Video Surveillance Systems: The Future of the Automotive Industry

Gonzalo Micó Valdenebro, KAM SCATI.

The economic crisis generated by the pandemic aggravates a situation that was already delicate due to the effects of the new European environmental regulations and that places the automotive industry in full technological transformation towards electrification.Gonzalo_Mico_Valdenebro

With almost 2.27 million vehicles manufactured in 2020, Spain is the second largest producer in Europe and the eighth largest in the world. The keys to success are investment in continuous innovation and the automation of production plants, which allow us to generate greater production, make the most of resources and optimize time.

In this technological transformation, video systems are playing a key role.

With the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in video surveillance systems, cameras monitor the automation of processes, detect and prevent failures, verify quality control, geolocate and visualize assets in continuous movement and, in parallel, collect metadata associated with the images. Data that, thanks to Big Data tools, is transformed into valuable information to generate dashboards and graphs that facilitate decision making.

This article aims to collect some of the main applications that our customers make use of intelligent video systems in their production processes.

Monitoring of automated processes

industria_automotrizVideo systems are the key to guarantee excellence in production processes.

Integrated with the usual management systems, they are able to detect an incident (stoppage or breakdown of a machine) and alert the control center in real time to resolve the incident in the shortest possible time.

Quality control supervision

scati_Parcel_plusVideo systems are capable of performing inspections in the manufacture and assembly of all parts of a vehicle, thus detecting defects in stamping, machining, presence of components, paint quality, metrology between body parts or alignment of doors, among many others.

Verification and traceability of goods

In addition to capturing images of the production process, the video systems collect the information associated with each good (shipment number, origin, destination, dimensions, etc.) and store this information in the system, ensuring traceability.

Video is a versatile tool that can be integrated with other QR code or bar code scanning systems to complete process monitoring. Video systems are searchable by collected metadata, visualize the path of each merchandise and locate any time and the associated image.

detección_area_restringida“Intelligent” video surveillance systems are integrated with geolocation and traffic control software (AGV – Automated Guided Vehicle) and track and trace thousands of assets (operators, mechanical bulls, pallets, etc.) with high accuracy and visualize the images captured by the cameras in real time.

Video is a tool for innovation due to the great versatility it offers when it comes to solving any problem and makes a competitive difference compared to other companies in the sector.
