New SCATI video recorder G500, Pro Series.

The G500 range is robust, reliable and easy to operate.

Designed to meet the most demanding video surveillance requirements, this range of SCATI VISION recorders combines advanced technology, exceptional functionalities and easy configuration to provide you with a complete security solution.

Based on IP technology, the G500 range consists of recorders capable of managing up to 32 cameras (depending on the model) with total stability, making them the most reliable systems on the market.

With improved hardware performance compared to its predecessors (G400 range), this equipment is designed to meet the recording needs of large users with distributed installations, allowing simultaneous video service to multiple VMS clients and dynamically adapting the transmission of information according to the bandwidth available at any given time.

The G500 range can work with any ONVIF camera and incorporates intelligent event detection: motion, intrusions or changes in the scene; as well as functionalities that allow monitoring its health (disks, temperature, etc.), and in case of failure, notifying technical alarms to the VMS to activate the corresponding maintenance.

It has an integrated Gigabit PoE switch (up to 16 ports depending on the model), which allows the cameras to be powered directly from the recorder, which facilitates installation and commissioning thanks to the Wizard configurator available, providing significant time and cost savings.

Storage management can be a challenge, but our G500s make it easier than ever. Like all SCATI VISION recorders, the G500 range uses H.265 compression algorithms, which means less storage is required without compromising image quality.

g

They can accommodate up to four 3.5″ disks, with up to 40TB of storage, which facilitates the recording of images at maximum resolution and continuously. Another advantage of H.265 is the much lighter and smoother transmission of images over the network.

In an increasingly connected world, cybersecurity is critical. Our G500 range implements robust authentication policies and protocols to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to your images and data.

Forget about geographical limitations. From the SCATI VMS, through its different modules, it is possible to extract maximum performance through remote operation, providing security professionals with the most advanced tool to protect their facilities in the best possible way. Keep peace of mind in your hands.

This is the perfect recorder for medium-sized projects that require robust, reliable and easy-to-operate recording equipment, given its versatility and manageability.

Don’t settle for less when it comes to protecting what matters most.

The smart office: the future of banking

The smart office: the future of banking

Toni Polo

Sales director EMEA. SCATI

Nowadays, banking security is an issue of great importance due to the constant technological advances that have been introduced in the financial world. Therefore, maintaining the balance between security and accessibility of their services has become a constant challenge for financial institutions.

For most security managers, technological innovation in branch offices leads to a decrease in the number of incidents, allows them to improve procedures or optimize the performance of their staff, making them much more effective.

However, many financial institutions have taken advantage of the benefits that AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Big Data bring to video surveillance systems to attract, measure and improve the experience of their customers, having a great use of these advances by the different departments of the bank, benefiting from commercial, or operational, intelligence in relation to what happens in their facilities.

As we have just explained, the challenges faced by banks are numerous and very diverse, among which the following can be highlighted:

CHANGES IN THREATS. Banks are on the front line in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. This means economic losses in the millions, as well as negative repercussions on the image of the financial institutions themselves. A reliable video surveillance system provides the necessary tools to protect against physical and cyber threats.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT. Upgrading to an intelligent video system represents a major investment involving many departments in the organization. The choice should lead to an optimization of tasks and times, a reduction of maintenance costs and a maximization of the profitability obtained with the system for each department of the bank. Increasingly, video systems are being sought that offer advantages for all departments of the company and not only for the security area.

THE POWER OF DATA. Video Business Intelligence allows you to process data from your CCTV system, providing you with a cross-cutting tool for business decision making. State-of-the-art video systems can provide them with information to reduce uncertainty and make good decisions.

The key lies in having a complete platform for the management of the current potential of video surveillance, which is modular, allowing each user to make use of those modules and features that best suit their daily operations. A platform that makes use of AI and big data, combined with a powerful VMS. This is what we call the “smart office” concept, which is implemented for two purposes.

The first is to further improve the safety of the facility itself, the people and the assets present there. Ensuring full coverage of banking facilities 24 hours a day, in addition to capturing all activity and incidents, it means that recorded images can even mitigate or prevent future activity, providing security personnel with alerts or analysis to record unauthorized activity outside of business hours. All these alerts facilitate a posteriori the forensic investigation, but also favor a preventive management, focusing on a concept of predictive security of the facilities. It is the anticipation that something may happen.

The second focuses on the collection of business data which, properly structured and processed, becomes very valuable information to provide operational intelligence to the different areas of the bank and thus improve operational efficiency.

Determine the number of customers waiting in line at the teller window or ATM, and how long they have been waiting.

Receive notifications when a customer has exceeded the acceptable waiting time limit.

To have statistical data on the number of clients visiting the different offices segmented by time intervals, gender or age.

Know how long customers stay in a specific area of the office, either at the counter or at the sales advisors.

Credibility and trust between banks and their customers can take years to build, but can be quickly shattered by the smallest detail.

Ultimately, the ultimate goal of AI in video surveillance within the banking sector is not only to keep customers safe, but also to ensure that they have the best possible in-branch experience while maximizing the bank’s profits.

SCATI VAS, new SCATI software module

SCATI VAS, new SCATI software module

This new module identifies and recognizes any code that appears in the scene to extract its information or to track the object or person to which it is associated

SCATI, a manufacturer of intelligent video, access control and system integration solutions, announces the launch of SCATI VAS (Video Anlytics Server), an application that enables multiple types of intelligent video processing to be performed centrally.

SCATI VAS

SCATI VAS is a self-developed application that allows the processing of information from any camera in the park, analog or IP, without the need for on-board video analytics.

Centralized processing (as opposed to on-the-edge processing) allows users to have much more powerful and accurate analytics engines for obvious reasons, since a server has more hardware resources to do the image processing than a camera.

For some models of SCATI VISION recorders, SCATI VAS will have the possibility to run on the recording equipment itself. In other scenarios where the number of cameras on which to apply analytics is high, it will be possible to have different dedicated servers for image processing distributed over the network, even in different physical environments, performing the configuration of all of them remotely and centrally from a single operator station.

While the first analytics incorporated in SCATI VAS is designed for detect and recognize barcodes, QR, Datamatrix, etc. on the images captured by the CCTV system cameras; our R&D Department is currently working on new analytics which will be gradually incorporated into SCATI VAS.

SCATI VAS<br />

By means of this first analytics it will be possible to perform a visual verification of the passage of goods, assets or even people through the areas covered by the cameras of the system, so the application scenarios are very diverse as it would have a potential use from logistics or industrial environments, to retail or even for public safety. Lo único que se precisa es que el código adherido al bien o activo, o que porte en su ropa o EPI la persona, tenga un tamaño mínimo de píxeles en la imagen capturada por la cámara.

SCATI VAS complements the SCATI platform and integrates with the different modules of the SUITE VISION . SCATI VAS identifies and recognizes any code in real time, notifies SCATI WATCHER immediately by alarm and allows the visualization of images associated with the alarm through a pop-up. Moreover, the metadata generated are recognized by SCATI RECKON, SCATI’s Business Intelligence module, which centralizes the information to facilitate searches through customized filters or display it in a synthesized form through customized reports and graphs.

With this new milestone, SCATI reinforces its commitment to offer intelligent video solutions to its customers, enabling them to manage their facilities beyond security.
