Version 5.0 of the SCATI video management platform, already in production, guarantees higher security, stability and reliability and allows access to the video feed from anywhere
SCATI, a company specialised in comprehensive IP video solutions, presents the latest features in its video management platform. The new SCATI SUITE will guarantee real-time access to video, offers more possibilities in video management and, above all, provides higher security and reliability of the security system in any installation. Additionally, higher scalability is obtained thanks to the improvements to the recording platforms, resulting in cost reduction and greater investment optimisation.
Version 5.0 of SCATI SUITE, already in production, includes improvements in all of its video recording and management applications (SCATI VISION anda KRAKEN) and the SCATI LINKER client application that optimises the bandwidth usage of the network in critical installations that require maximum reliability.
With the improvements introduced in SCATI LINKER, the user can perform efficient management of the available bandwidth while receiving and processing connections from other clients, thereby optimising requests for real-time video. This solution prevents network failures during incidents recorded in any security system and guarantees access to video even in limited bandwidth scenarios (on-board environments, ATMs, etc.)
KRAKEN, a platform capable of recording and storing video from any number of cameras, provides on-line storage and considerable cost reduction of the security system. KRAKEN grants access to the entire storage from any server, the addition of external storage chassis when required and the management of 4 chassis with a single RAID controller.
At the same time, version 5.0 includes improvements in the SCATI on-board video solution. SCATI CAR is designed for non-specialised users that need to acquire evidence in a mobile environment with minimum distraction for drivers. Its functions include real-time visualisation of the cameras, recovery of recorded images, snapshots, manual introduction of marks to the recording and exporting the video to a local device.
In order to attend to the needs of all the users of this video management platform, SCATI has made an important investment in R&D&I to adapt all these functions to Windows and Linux, an operating system that provides better behaviour and stability and higher speed and efficiency of hardware resources.
