Version 5.2 of SCATI’s video management platform incorporates Video Content Analytics in cameras and servers
SCATI, a company specialising in smart security solutions, is a strong proponent of video content analytics, thus offering clients the tools with which to put in place their own proactive security systems. For this reason, in version 5.2 of its video management platform SCATI is including use of SCATI EYE INTELLIGENT cameras and new filters in a dedicated server.
Smart video analytics embedded in the camera itself make it possible to acquire a smart system at a low cost, in which clients can receive immediate alerts about incidents. And the filters in SCATI EYE INTELLIGENT cameras include facial detection, intrusion and surpassed safety lines, noise detection, tampering detection (covering, scene changes or lack of focus), left objects, movement detection and counts.
The wide variety of high-precision video analysis filters enables capitalisation on the analytics thanks to their integration with SCATI SUITE via alarms and sensors, actions programmable by events and video searches. Among the new filters in the dedicated server, of particular interest are the management of queues and crowds, counts, stolen/lost object detection, facial recognition and licence plate recognition.
These analytics are performed in a powerful centralised platform of dedicated servers, called SCATI ANALYTICS PLATFORM, which has load balancing to fully optimise the servers’ resources and a floating licence system, allowing one licence to be used on different cameras.
By using these smart security tools clients can set up logical rules between their alarms, allowing them to stop events effectively while also reducing the number of false alarms. These are features that lead to an improvement in security and, at the same time, uphold the concept of proactive security on the part of the client.
