Alfonso Mata, appointed as Central America, Mexico & Caribbean Area Manager
SCATI, a company specialised in comprehensive IP video solutions, has appointed Alfonso Mata as new Central America, Mexico & Caribbean Area Manager. With this appointment, the Spanish company strengthens its sales force in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Mr. Mata, a telecommunications engineer, is a security manager certified by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Government of Spain, and has extensive experience in the security sector. After starting his professional career as analyst in an IT consulting company, he started working with SCATI in 2005 and has played an important sales role in various markets. He started working as a national sales executive and went on to become the sales manager for Spain and then for the EMEA region.
This engineer faces his new position with optimism. In his own words, "the evolution of the security market in these countries is unstoppable". This is evidenced by the fact that video-surveillance has become one of the main market trends over the last few years, with increasingly widespread use.
SCATI’s excursion into the international market started in 2001 and since then its growth has been unstoppable. Currently, over 65% of the company’s turnover is from overseas sales, a strong motivating factor for SCATI’s international sales strategy. In fact, SCATI has recently opened a Sales Office in Argentina and an Official Repair Centre in Brazil, which augments the services already offered from the company’s offices in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Spain.
